To be eligible for support from the Community Shares Fund your organisation must be intending to raise finance for a community-owned enterprise by issuing shares.
We will invest only in Community Co-operatives and Community Benefit Societies. You must include a copy of the rules of your society with your application for support.
We invest in ventures that we believe are likely to be economically viable. You must send a detailed business plan with your application and a copy of the share offer document (if available). In the application form you will need to specify the sum you want us to invest, what you intend to use it for, and when you would expect to repay it.
The Community Shares Fund is a very specific form of financial support. If you think that a loan would be more appropriate please contact our partner organisations Co-operative & Community Finance or The Co-operative Loan Fund. |
